Listening- Oculus Go

Week 2
The brand I chose is Oculus. The product I chose to review is the Oculus Go Stand-Alone Virtual Reality Headset. This product is getting a surprising amount of hype and it is genuinely a product that many people are really enjoying and buying. Based on the reviews that are being shared about this product on the Best Buy website, it looks as though many people really like the features this product has.
Oculus features lots of different qualities in the Oculus Go. Including that it is lightweight and the best feature which is the stand alone VR. The reviews that this product has led to have an average of 4.4 stars out of 5. The different people that have reviewed this item have gone to say that it is “great for the price” and that “the picture quality on this VR is great”. People can agree that it is easy to use, gives you a great VR experience, and it is fun with an affordable price.
I think that Oculus in trying to sell this virtual reality product has really allowed other to get in tuned with the advances in technology. Then basing on the reviews, it just is an overall good product that allows you to go on a roller coaster of fun. In respects to Oculus's Value Proposition I think they have aligned pretty well with it. They are trying to get the world to connect through the power of virtual reality and that is exactly what they are doing.
According to the article “3 Main Marketing Challenges of VR  and How to Overcome Them”, there are different aspects of marketing that are at stake in some of Oculus’s marketing.  One of them, which I think is the most important one, is the early stage growing aspect of virtual reality. I think this goes hand in hand with all the other aspects of marketing for Oculus. Since it is a fairly new thing that has come out it has gotten some of the cons come to light very quickly and it is hard to get people to buy the products because it is new and they have never tried using VR before. I think as a marketing manager I would definitely try and find the people that these types of products would appeal to, and in this case, Oculus has they have created products that really appeal to gamers and that really call to the tech savvy people, which I think is really interesting and useful for others in marketing to learn from.
